KDE Desktop Compositing Effects Ubuntu 12.04
Testing different KDE 4.8 KWin settings from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS looking at the impact on the OpenGL gaming performance. Testing from an Intel Sandy Bridge laptop with stock Ubuntu 12.04 Intel Linux drivers and an AMD workstation with a Radeon HD 4870 graphics card on the open-source Radeon Mesa Gallium3D driver and AMD Catalyst binary driver. Testing for a future article on Phoronix.com.
