Dbench

Dbench is a benchmark designed by the Samba project as a free alternative to netbench, but dbench contains only file-system calls for testing the disk performance.

This utility test profile is maintained by Michael Larabel. This OpenBenchmarking.org test profile was created on 6 December 2010 and last updated on 27 September 2020. To run this test with the Phoronix Test Suite, the basic command is: phoronix-test-suite benchmark dbench.
