Windows 7 vs. Ubuntu 12.04 - Intel Ivy Bridge Sandy Bridge
Benchmarking of Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64 with the Intel 8.15.10.2696 Windows 64-bit graphics driver on an Intel Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge processor and Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge CPU compared to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x86_64 with Linux 3.4 kernel / Mesa 8.1-devel Git / xf86-video-intel / libdrm Git. Hardware was the same for both Windows and Linux performance comparison. Testing for a future article on Phoronix.com by Michael Larabel.
