Intel Core i7 3770K Graphics - Power Performance

Benchmarks of the Intel Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge processor with its HD 4000 graphics compared to Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge with HD 3000 graphics and Intel Core i5 2400S with HD 2000 graphics. There's also benchmarks of the AMD Fusion A8-3870K Llano APU using both the Catalyst Linux driver and open-source Radeon Gallium3D stack. The Intel driver and ATI/AMD Gallium3D testing was done using the same Mesa 8.1-devel Git master snapshot, Linux 3.4 development kernel, libdrm Git, and xf86-video-intel / xf86-video-ati Git master. Testing for future article. This result file runs a subset of the prior tests while having the Phoronix Test Suite automatically monitor the system's overall power consumption and CPU temperature while also providing performance-per-Watt graphs (running PTS 4.0-Suldal while having the MONITOR=cpu.temp,sys.power and PERFORMANCE_PER_WATT=1 environment variables set prior to test execution). More Phoronix tests forthcoming from graphics and other areas of Ivy Bridge.
