32-bit vs 64-bit - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 64-bit vs. 32-bit performance on Intel Core i7 notebook. 32-bit Ubuntu Linux benchmarking was with the 32-bit and 32-bit PAE (Physical Address Extensions) kernels. Testing of 8 February Precise Pangolin development snapshot, all other software versions/configurations remained the same besides swapping the kernels.
