I-Star T5F-SS Hot-Swap Hard Drive Bay

ocmodshop.com: I love storage. It doesn't matter what kind. I have stock in those plastic dresser-style drawers, and I keep 'em chock full of crap I'll never use or at the most very rarely. Any time I look at a car I check out the trunk first, and try to estimate how many bodies would fit in there. If I'm unsure, I'll ask the salesman. And yes, I have done it before. Ah, the joys and freedoms of being a sociopath. But my favorite type of storage is always those heavy bricks we call Hard Drives.

Today I have one of the nicest rack mount server chassis I've ever seen, the D-400L. This massive 19" x 27.1" chassis isn't your ordinary slide in box with the bare minimum.

I like its simple clean lines, with refined touches such as the perforated aluminum front bezel, optical drive drop down door, aluminum trimmed release handle and side fan bezel. Another point worth mentioning is the construction quality and the interior layout design. Its clear to see that some thought went into these areas by the designers, intent on building a functional, quality case, while so many other cases fall short in this area.

The front plastic bezel is textured with vertical lines, and brushed aluminum dash plates are a very nice touch. Ventilation holes are strategically stamped along the side panel of the case.

modthebox.com: The S-9000 includes a swing out front panel door which is a nice feature for those individuals who don't want to stealth or paint stock beige coloured drives. The door encompasses the entire front bezel effectively hiding all the drive bays. Once the door has been opened, consumers will be pleased at the amount of expansion room available in this case. The case has a total of 9 x 5.25" external drive bays available for use which provides unlimited possibilities for a server configuration.
