Gentoo v2006.0: The announcement has just come down that Gentoo 2006.0 has been released. Packed in this first release for the year is KDE v3.4.3, GNOME v2.12.2, XFCE v4.2.2, GCC v3.4.4, and the Linux 2.6.15 kernel. Also in this release are improvements for 32-bit and 64-bit userlands as well as optimizations for G5 and POWER5 processors.
