Preview: EKOPath Benchmarks On AMD's Bulldozer: It has been a while since last running any tests of PathScale's EKOPath compiler, but in this preview article are some AMD FX-8150 "Bulldozer" benchmarks of the EKOPath compiler compared to GCC 4.7.0, LLVM/Clang 3.1 SVN, and AMD Open64 4.5.1.

More Details From The EKOPath Open-Source Launch: Yesterday we delivered the news that PathScale was open-sourcing their high-performance EKOPath compiler suite, which in previous days was talked about on Phoronix under the Dirndl codename when showing how fast this compiler was in relation to GCC. The community indeed is excited for EKOPath now being open-source (GPLv3) and in the Phoronix Forums are currently 15+ pages of comments.

PathScale Open-Sources The EKOPath 4 Compiler Suite: Within the free software world, GCC has long been the dominant compiler with it being backed by the Free Software Foundation, it being the most well developed free compiler suite, and is a feature rich offering that is put out under the GNU GPLv3. As of late, LLVM has also been hitting the nail on the head.
