ASUS Releases Eee PC 901, 1000, 1000H: This morning ASUS has announced the expansion of their Eee PC family with the introduction of three new models. These three new models use Intel's Atom processor, which makes them the first Netbooks. In addition to sporting an Atom processor, the 901 and 1000 use Solid-State Disks (SSDs), 1GB of DDR2 memory (or up to 2GB with the 1000/1000H models), and a battery life of nearly eight hours.
ASUS Product Launch: ASUSTek has also extended their product selection this morning in the form of the new GeForce 7900GTX G71, as well as a few motherboards. The products launching include -- P5B Deluxe, M2N32-SLI Deluxe, N4L-VM DH, EN7900GTX, EN7600GT SILENT, EAX1300PRO SILENT.
Industry Reviewstechgage.com: A couple of weeks ago, ASUS released its first two under-$200 P55 motherboards that support both S-ATA and USB 3.0. We're taking a look at the higher-end of the two, the P7P55D-E PRO. As you'd expect, this is one packed board, featuring a great design and a number of improvements over the company's P55 launch boards.

The color scheme has been updated and i/o ports have been updated as well to include External SATA (eSATA). It should also be noted that SATA6G not being present anymore due to Marvell limitations (yield and other issues of the Marvell controller are to blame according to our sources in Taiwan).
tweaktown.com: P55 is Intel's newest chipset to come out. This is the mainstream brother to the X58 chipset, which we all knew was coming anyway. P35 came after X38, P45 came after X48 and now P55 has come after X58. But we aren't here today to talk too much about the P55 chipset, since we are under NDA from Intel and we can't give a lot away.

thinkcomputers.org: The lack of a Northbridge means the elimination of the hottest chip on the motherboard and the need for cooling that chip, along with the associated traces, etc, which means building a P55 motherboard costs less. Apparently the motherboard manufacturers have passed those savings along to the consumer, the average price of a P55 board is about $100 less than the average price of an X58 board.
pcstats.com: While much of Intel's world has been thrown into a tizzy by the Q1'2011 Intel P67/H67 chipset recall (initial B2 stepping only), we thought it timely to look in on Intel P55 motherboards from ASUS that offer some of the bells and whistles of Intel P67 platforms, with none of the bad recall aftertaste.
