Phoronix Information

Phoenix Strikes HyperSpace Deal With ASUS: ASUS was the first company to ship SplashTop, an embedded instant-on Linux environment, on any of its products. They began by offering SplashTop on select ASUS motherboards, then it turned into ASUS notebooks, and then to many more ASUS products. However, Phoenix Technologies has now wooed ASUS into shipping HyperSpace on their notebooks...

ASUS Releases Eee PC 901, 1000, 1000H: This morning ASUS has announced the expansion of their Eee PC family with the introduction of three new models. These three new models use Intel's Atom processor, which makes them the first Netbooks. In addition to sporting an Atom processor, the 901 and 1000 use Solid-State Disks (SSDs), 1GB of DDR2 memory (or up to 2GB with the 1000/1000H models), and a battery life of nearly eight hours.

ASUS Expands SplashTop Mobo Selection: DeviceVM and ASUS are today announcing that they have expanded their selection of motherboards that ship with SplashTop (a.k.a. "Express Gate") technology. We've been enthralled by SplashTop, an embedded instant-on Linux desktop environment, since we had first looked at this technology on the ASUS P5E3 Deluxe motherboard.

ASUS P5E3 Deluxe: Earlier this month we featured an exclusive preview of DeviceVM's SplashTop Technology, which is an instant-on Linux desktop environment that within five seconds of turning on your PC you could be inside a Firefox-based web-browser or talking with the Skype VoIP client.

Upcoming Intel X38 Linux Articles: Have you had your eyes on a computer upgrade with Intel's forthcoming X38 Chipset? Over the course of the next week we will be looking at Intel's new X38 Chipset under Linux and Solaris as we look at the ASUS P5E3 Deluxe and the Gigabyte X38-DQ6 (this motherboard isn't even being announced until the 10th).

ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe: A year ago we had reviewed the M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi motherboard from ASUS, which was a phenomenal Socket AM2 motherboard that used NVIDIA's nForce 590 SLI Chipset and featured a number of ASUS innovations. Recently ASUS had sent out to us an updated M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi, which adds official support for Microsoft Windows Vista.

ASUS P5B Deluxe: The ASUS P5B Deluxe supports Intel's latest Core 2 processors as well as being backwards compatible with the Pentium and Celeron series. This motherboard also features an eight-phase power design, fan-less motherboard cooling, and many more ASUS innovations.

ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe WiFi: Introduced back on May 23, 2006 was AMD's Socket AM2. While these processors really did not bring too much to the table other then a DDR2-800 memory controller several motherboard vendors began offering up their new AM2 supportive products. One of the manufacturers that had began offering new products in late May and early June during Computex Taipei 2006 was ASUSTek Computer Inc.

ASUS Product Launch: ASUSTek has also extended their product selection this morning in the form of the new GeForce 7900GTX G71, as well as a few motherboards. The products launching include -- P5B Deluxe, M2N32-SLI Deluxe, N4L-VM DH, EN7900GTX, EN7600GT SILENT, EAX1300PRO SILENT.

ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe WiFi+TV (i945P): Although the Chipset utilized on the ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe is the i945P, rather than Intel's flagship i955X, the motherboard does manage to pack a wealth of onboard features with an additional ATA-133 IDE controller, Firewire, and a SATA2 controller. Topping off the P5LD2 Deluxe package is a WiFi+TV tuner card as well as ASUS's Stack Cool 2 and AI Quiet Technology.

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe

legitreviews.com: Using the same ASUS Triton 81 CPU Cooler that I used on the MSI DKA790GX Platinum motherboard the ASUS M4A79T Deluxe motherboard reached an HT clock frequency of 294MHz, which is 1MHz shy of our previous best for this specific AMD Phenom II X4 810 processor.

Asus M4A79T Deluxe AM3

futurelooks.com: Today we are taking a look at another motherboard for the new Dragon platform. This latest motherboard from Asus is said to support the new Phenom II 955 chip, and has both a rather boastful price tag and feature set. Lets see if the combination works for the most recognizable motherboard manufacturer in the world.

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe 790FX

tweaktown.com: It seems of late Intel has stolen the spotlight well away from AMD and with the performance results of not only the Core 2 Duo and Quads based on the Penryn cores, but also the new Core i7, this has really put AMD on the back foot. This however hasnt stopped them from pushing forward and while Phenom II isnt all that wed hoped for, it certainly does have its place, namely in the low cost PC/HTPC and cheaper gaming station markets. Boards are still coming out for the new AM3 based CPUs and since they now support DDR2 and DDR3 on the same CPU, AMD hasnt cut its nose despite its face like they did with the transition from Socket 939 to AM2.

Asus P5Q Deluxe P45

hothardware.com: As many of you are no doubt aware, Intel is planning to officially release a new mainstream chipset in a few weeks, the P45. From a feature standpoint, the new P45 is somewhat similar to last year's P35. The P45, however, will have official support for PCI Express 2.0, with a more flexible lane configuration for multi-GPU graphics, and the chipset itself is being manufactured at 65nm as opposed to 90nm.

Asus P5W DH Deluxe/WiFi

madshrimps.be: Asus has engineered their way into the hearts of Overclockers and the homes of PC-Users the world over. Asus pioneered the OEM market, introducing "Enthusiast" style motherboards long before the phrase "PC-Enthusiast" was coined.

Asus P5N-T Deluxe NF780i SLI
