SeaSonic TruePower X-Series 850W Reviews

Seasonic X-Series 850W

hardwaresecrets.com: Let?s see if the highest-wattage model within the 80 Plus Gold X-Series power supply series from Seasonic is a good option.

Antec TruePower Quattro 850W

benchmarkreviews.com: Last year the Antec TP3-650 TruePower Trio was still making waves in the market, offering 650W of power for an unbeatable price. This year, Antec has returned with a newly designed and very improved power supply unit: the TruePower Quattro. Available to gamers and hardware enthusiasts in need of either 850 or 1000 watts of power output, the new TPQ-850 and TPQ-1000 are poised to energize even the most power-hungry system. Benchmark Reviews has tested the AC voltage ripple and DC power regulation of many top-end power supplies over the past months, and now it's time to see how the Antec TruePower Quattro 850W PSU TPQ-850 compares to the field of competition in this hardware review.

Antec TruePower Quattro 850W/1000W

3dgameman.com: The Antec TruePower Quattro 850W & 1000W PSUs have stylish racing stripes which run all the way around the steel housing and include an 80mm fan. Along with this fan and the many ventilation holes, this PSU will remain cool in almost any environment. Both of these PSUs have lots of power for today's gaming systems. The +3.3V is 25A and the +5V is 30A. Many of todays high wattage power supplies that are designed for a 2 video card gaming system and therefore have one large single +12V rail, but these PSUs have 4 +12V rails and each rail is 18A.

Seasonic M12D 850W

jonnyguru.com: A little while back, I reviewed Antec's Signature series 850W power supply. Toward the end of that review, I threw down a challenge: any company who thought they could do better than that unit should give it a shot and send me the resulting power supply. While I'm still waiting for responses from the likes of Zippy and PC Power and Cooling, Seasonic came through for me. I'm looking at the latest and greatest from them today in the M12D 850W unit. A beast of a power supply promising 70A of combined 12V capacity and bringing 80 Plus Silver certification with it.

Seasonic S12D 850W

thinkcomputers.org: Seasonic has been around for a long time-since 1975. It is more well-known for its OEM line of power supply units, but it sells some models retail, as well. It touts the S12D 850W power supply unit as being certified 80PLUS Silver, proving that the unit is at least 85% efficient. Seasonic claims that the unit can achieve 90% efficiency! Add that with a five year warranty and a nearly silent fan and this is one unit worth seriously considering. ThinkComputers has the review.

OCZ Z Series 850W PSU

jonnyguru.com: Since 80 Plus began their certification program to help us consumers find the most efficient power supplies out there, power supplies have sought to make the most of the program by making their units more and more efficient. Before too long, 80 Plus added new classification ratings to their program (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) to help distinguish between high efficiency units. Of the four 80 Plus certification levels, Gold has been the hardest to pull off for power supply companies.

OCZ Z Series 850W

hardwareheaven.com: Today HardwareHeaven are going to have a look at a model from the best power supply family OCZ has to offer, the Z Series. The Z Series consists of only two units at this point of time and it is the 850W model which we will review today. OCZ must be very confident about their Z- series, claiming boldly that these products are "nothing but the best". In this review HardwareHeaven are going to put the Z Series 850W to the test and see how well this unit can really perform.

Antec TruePower Quattro 850Watt

dragonsteelmods.com: I've always been a fan of Antec products and I probably always will be, their design is very elegant and stylish, but yet under that style and class is something that is made to last for a lifetime, true quality engineering and manufacture. Today for review I've got another entry into the large wattage power supply arena, and this one is from Antec as you may have guessed, it not only looks cool with its' yellow racing stripe, but offers up 850Watts of power while being stable, efficient and quiet.

OCZ GameXStream 850w

ocia.net: It's no secret that today's hardware is demanding more power than ever before. For instance, those interested in running two 8800GTX cards in SLI are looking at a bare minimum of 750 watts in the power supply department. Factor in your processor(s) demands, hard drive(s) and watercooling gear and that 750 watt minimum seems a little less inviting. Granted, many of us are not fortunate enough to have the budget to support such extreme hardware addictions, there is one thing that we all should consider when purchasing a new power supply: future-proof.

OCZ GameXStream 850W

virtual-hideout.net: The OCZ GameXStream is an 850W power supply. As more and more gamers take advantage of the gaming benefits offered by multi-GPU technology, the need for improved power supply solutions increases greatly.

Antec CP-850w

xsreviews.co.uk: When it comes to PSUs, for years now the ATX unit has taken centre stage with little thought going into producing a different form factor. However, Antec have changed all this and decided that it is time for a revamp. Their new form factor, christened the CPX, is a lot bigger so as to allow more room for the guts and allow a less restrictive airflow. Electrically, its just an ATX power supply but unfortunately the size means that a limited selection of cases can take the unit unless of course youre into modding.

Antec CP-850 850W

thinkcomputers.org: Antec has always been known for making very reliable power supplies. They have done something a little interesting with their CP-Series power supplies though. They are designed differently so they are larger than most power supplies, which means they will only fit in certain cases. Those cases include Antecs Twelve Hundred, P183, and P193. The larger size does allow for a better internal design, but is that worth limiting what cases you can put the power supply in? Antec has sent us their 850W version of the CP-Series, lets put it to the test and see if its worth it!

FSP Aurum Pro 850W

thinkcomputers.org: The last few products we have taken a look at from FSP have been universal power adapters for notebooks so finally we get a chance to take a look at a product in their main product line, power supplies. FSP sure does know a lot about power supplies. They were established in 1993 and currently are the 5th largest power supply vendor in the world. Today we are checking out their Aurum Pro 850W Power Supply. This power supply features an 80PLUS Gold certification, a true single rail and dual transformer design, 135mm PWM cooling fan and a very cool rugged Granite-Touch finish.

Enermax Galaxy 850W

techgage.com: Are you building a huge machine and require a power supply to match? Enermax has got you covered. Their Galaxy 850W fully supports Quad SLI, Quad core CPU, mass amounts of hard drives and your other hardware. It passed with flying colors in our stress tests, so read on.

Enermax Galaxy 850W

technic3d.com: The new Enermax Galaxy 850W (EGA850EWL)PSU arrived Technic3D. See you in the following Review a Big PSU with a nice Look, 5x 12V! and Quad-Sli Features.

Thermaltake Toughpower 850w

tweaknews.net: With the Toughpower 850W PSU, Thermaltake is targeting the very top of the enthusiast/gamer market. Four very strong +12V rails and native support for four graphics cards and eight SATA drives is certainly not the norm and will almost surely be embraced by its eager, albeit small, target market. The 850W PSU should prove to be a worthy addition to the very competent Toughpower line.

NZXT Precise 850w

ocia.net: A power switch is located on the rear of the unit, as well as a switch for the +12v rail which can be set to "split" or "combined". This is the first power supply I have seen that offers such a switch. There has been a lot of talk the past few years with the introduction of multiple 12v rails, and even more as of late with the jump back to single 12v rails. >From the outside, each method seems to have its pros and cons, so I decided to settle it once and for all and see which method truly is the best choice.

Thermaltake Toughpower 850W

dreamwarecomputers.com: Looking at the long list of power supplies we've reviewed here in the past, there's one brand name that surprisingly hasn't had a chance to cross our test bed yet - Thermaltake. Today however will change all that as the Thermaltake Toughpower 850W power supply has just arrived! I must say I've been excited to test this supply because not only does it offer 850 watts of power, but also offers a modular cable system, silent 140mm fan, great looks, and much more!
