Ubuntu 11.10 Power-Consumption
Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 testing with a LENOVO 276552G and Intel Mobile 4 IGP on Ubuntu 11.10 via the Phoronix Test Suite.
11.10
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53GHz (2 Cores), Motherboard: LENOVO 276552G, Chipset: Intel Mobile 4 MCH + ICH9M, Memory: 4096MB, Disk: 60GB OCZ VERTEX2, Graphics: Intel Mobile 4 IGP, Audio: Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa), Network: Intel 82567LF Gigabit Connection + Intel Ultimate N WiFi Link 5300
OS: Ubuntu 11.10, Kernel: 3.0.0-12-generic (x86_64), Desktop: Unity 4.24.0, Display Server: X Server 1.10.4, Display Driver: intel 2.15.901, OpenGL: 2.1 Mesa 7.11, Compiler: GCC 4.6.1, File-System: ext4, Screen Resolution: 1440x900
System Notes: Compiz was running on this system. Intel SpeedStep was enabled. This was running on battery power.
Battery Power Usage
This test is designed for notebooks and netbooks and monitor's the system's battery consumption as it idles for 60 seconds, then turns off the monitor for 60 seconds via DPMS, then turns the display back on and plays back a sample H.264 1080p video file using mplayer with the X-Video output adapter. A line graph showing the power usage is then rendered. Learn more via the OpenBenchmarking.org test page.
